Sam Banister has recently completed a two year painting diploma at Leith School of Art, Edinburgh. She loves to experiment with mixed media and oil and beeswax. Although inspired by the landscape as a whole, it is the detail which captures her imagination, be it the rough bark of a tree, a group of found objects or the intricate nature and layers of a sea shell.

From Inverness take the A835 towards Ullapool and turn left after Garve signposted Gairloch Tourist Route. Slattadale House is approximately 10 miles from Kinlochewe. Turn right after the P sign to Slattadale Forest.
